Negotiations and Document Development, Ongoing Management, 2001-2008
Mr. Fein participated on the rental car committee that helped create the facility from inception of the idea. He worked with industry representatives, designers, consultants, and airport staff in the early design phases (2001-2003) and helped negotiate the business terms and conditions in 2006. He helped create the documents to support the lease and concession agreements, the busing agreements and served on the management committee until 2008.
Specifically, he met regularly with team members in the early design phases to develop a location, size, and preliminary drawings and:
- Participated in the regular design meetings over a 5-year period
- Participated in the regular properties meetings over a 7-year period to create the business terms and conditions
- Assisted in the negotiations for financing of the facility and the buses
- Assisted in the creation of the request for proposals process to select both the operations & maintenance operator and the bus operator
- Assisted in the creation, design and selection of the buses used in the operations
- Assisted in the supervision of the operations after grand opening in 2007.
